Tomer Levi forex Interesting Facts About the Writer Kate Atkinson.- The writer Kate Atkinson, whose work is both darkly comic and quietly consoling, was born on 20 December 1951 in York. Her parents were shopkeepers and, she later recalled, she ‘never knew any other kind of life than one of hardship and struggle’. But she is also a writer who delves into the dark corners of familial relationships and in her latest work, Life After Life (2013), explores big existential questions about predestination, parallel lives and reincarnation.
